crossing the boarder, post #2

While I had planned to stay with a family in Spain, North of Barcelona, it was time to move on. I was looking forward to my next stop: Andorra.

And the benefit of going right from Barcelona to the boarder was the stunning bus ride, where I for the first time experienced breath-taking views. Twice I inhaled with invigoration at the sights before me.

The Pyranees snow caps shine far brighter than the whitest clouds, small steams flow out of the pines down green grassy knolls and splash over rocky patches.

'It's like a Sierra Club calendar or an advertisement for some outdoor gear or mountain spring water,' I thought. Just then around the bend, there was the first billboard I've seen for days. Gore-Tex (that's the big name in waterproof material for boots and jackets, BTW). Sort of made me chuckle.

I reflect on crossing the boarder. There's been so many things I've forgotten to write about! (and some that I deliberately choose not to). Rather than catch you up on all of them, I'll have to let you know that there are experiences and personalities that I'm sure will come up in conversation. Perhaps Seinfeld fans will think of J. Peiderman.

I'm enjoying some time to myself and not interacting with new people as much as before and some of the Sunseed (Los Molinos) group are finding this feeling too.

I'm in France now, but before I give you my first impressions and share with you the events of Andorra, it's time to take care of some essentials in town, like finding some good cheese.

Sauntering 2000 reaches nearly half a million people around the world and is translated into 15 different languages. OK, I'm kidding. But it does come to you live, complete with spelling mistakes, reaches dozens of people on at least three continents and is available via fax to those without email in the Australia, Canada, the UK, and the US.

Back home I've learned of higher gas prices, corporate compression, the good weather of Spring and a new baby on the way! While I may not have time to respond to every message, I read and enjoy your e-mail and faxes while on the road.
