My (paying) work and holidays have stopped for a while, so I bought a ticket out of town to resume exploration of Scandinavia. Ten hours later, I find new work to be done, but too late, tickets in hand!
I'm off to Sweden and while the famous cities in the south have there lures, my thirst is growing for the more exotic. I have heard of the Samis, a nomadic reindeer herding population in Lapland that I would like to find out more about and my geographical mission is clear: travel into the Arctic Circle.
A plane, 2 trains, 2 buses and 36 hours later, I was in Lapland.
